The Tale of Two Pigs: When You Choose Cunningham Pork, You Choose Clean Meat Raised with Integrity

Not all pork is the same. The way a pig is raised makes all the difference in flavor, nutrition, and peace of mind for your family. Here’s the tale of two pigs—one raised on a commercial factory farm and one raised the Cunningham Ranch way.

Pig #1: The Factory-Farmed Pig 🏭

  • Raised indoors in cramped crates or on concrete floors.
  • Fed a diet heavy in GMO corn and soy, plus synthetic vitamins and questionable fillers.
  • Exposed to stressful, crowded environments that weaken overall health.
  • Often processed into pork products full of nitrates, MSG, preservatives, and additives.
  • May even include ammonia-treated scraps and “mystery meat” in mass production.

  • The result? Pork that’s bland, unhealthy, and lacking the integrity your family deserves.

Pig #2: The Cunningham Pig 🌾

      • Raised outdoors on pasture, with wide-open space, fresh air, and sunshine.
Fed real food: non-GMO peas for protein and barley for fiber—plus all-natural foraging.
      • Free from soy, corn, dairy, and sugar.
      • No crates, no confinement, and no synthetic shortcuts.
      • Processed with no nitrates, MSG, artificial preservatives, or fillers—ever.
      • The result? Pork that’s clean, richly flavored, and raised with integrity from start to finish.

More on How Grazing Got Complicated- it's a "heated" debate

🌾 How Grazing Got Complicated Back in the early 1900s, before federal oversight, ranchers and homesteaders often clashed over access to grazing land. By the 1930s, the BLM was formed to manage who could graze and where. Then came the 1960s — and with it, new fencing requirements, reduced grazing allotments (AUMs, or Animal Unit Months), and tighter federal restrictions. But, this isn't just a difference of opinion, this becomes a "heated" debate when fires are not well managed and threaten our lands and the solution is rooted in good stewardship of the land as nature intended.
